Programme Analyst (Governance and Responsible Business)
Overview
The Programme Analyst (Governance and Responsible Business) will support research, analysis, and programme activities related to responsible business conduct in India, focusing on promoting sustainable practices and human rights due diligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports research on responsible business conduct in India, including promotion of responsible business practices and sustainability.
- Assists in secondary research on topics including human rights and environmental due diligence, sustainability, ESG, green economy, and just transition.
- Contributes to writing project-related documents including concept notes and proposals.
- Supports identification of key areas of intervention for engagement with the private sector, with a focus on MSMEs.
- Supports coordination with UN agencies working in India to implement responsible business frameworks.
- Assists in development of policy briefs, talking points, and communications materials.
- Supports proofreading and editing of reports and other knowledge products.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of the programme's social media strategy.
- Assists in documenting and disseminating best practices and case stories.
- Prepares briefs, PowerPoint presentations, and infographics for stakeholders.
- Supports the organisation of webinars, conferences, events, and forums.
- Maintains programme documentation and knowledge repositories.
- Supports outreach and engagement efforts with private sector actors, industry associations, and national and regional bodies.
- Contributes to the design and delivery of capacity building initiatives on responsible and sustainable business practices for the private sector.
- Supports coordination with UN system-wide groups, industry associations, and civil society actors.
Required Experience
Demonstrated interest and/or experience (ideally one year) in secondary research, report writing, documentation in the following thematic/technical areas: Human Rights and Rule of Law, Business and Human Rights. Previous experience as a volunteer and/or experience of another culture (i.e. studies, volunteer work, internship) would be highly regarded.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Law, Human Rights, Development Studies, International Relations, Social Sciences, Political Science, Economics or related fields.
