Overview

Provide technical assistance for education programs, focusing on monitoring project activities, administering payments, community engagement, and material distribution.


Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and report on project activities and ensure compliance with plans and NRC standards
  • Administrate volunteer teachers’ and school children’s payments and entitlements
  • Work with community education committees in planning and enrolment
  • Distribute and monitor the use of school materials
  • Assist volunteer teachers
  • Suggest new methods to improve activity quality
  • Report protection-related concerns
  • Carry out data collection
  • Prepare field reports
  • Prepare and file relevant documents
  • Mobilize communities and project participants
  • Participate in planning, preparation, implementation, and follow-up of education campaigns
  • Contribute to the development of project and thematic materials
  • Undertake data entry and maintain records
  • Support monitoring & evaluation activities and report writing
  • Record and maintain project specific field documents
  • Maintain work-relations with communities, education committees and partners
  • Support Education Officer and community-based workers in needs assessments and surveys
  • Facilitate trainings
  • Conduct community consultations and facilitate formation/strengthening of PTAs and SICs
  • Assist community-based workers for field implementation
  • Support budgeting, accounting and administration tasks
  • Support Education Officer in providing translation as necessary
  • Abide by NRC security protocols
  • Perform other tasks to improve and support the program
  • Scan and archive financial, procurement and program documents
Required Experience
  • Experience in monitoring and reporting on project activities.
  • Experience in administering payments and entitlements.
  • Experience working with community education committees.
  • Experience in distributing and monitoring material use.
  • Experience assisting teachers.
  • Experience in data collection and record keeping.
  • Experience in supporting monitoring & evaluation activities and report writing.
