Overview
The Investment Officer will participate in processing private sector financing for financial institutions projects and technical assistance, establish and maintain client relationships, and assist in managing government relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and/or participate in project processing, including due diligence, risk analysis, and structuring of loans, equity investments, guarantees, or other assistance.
- Lead credit and financial due diligence by developing financial models and assessing risk and credit profiles of proposed financial institutions projects.
- Analyze financial statements and financial projections/models, perform sensitivity analysis and stress testing, and make recommendations.
- Participate in due diligence missions and provide technical support and recommendations to team leaders.
- Represent ADB in transactions with external technical advisors, consultants, and lawyers.
- Lead relevant sector and country research as part of transaction risk assessment.
- Collaborate with the Office of Risk Management and Safeguards Specialists.
- Work with the Treasury Department to facilitate local currency lending.
- Prepare project documentation and presentation materials.
- Lead and/or facilitate discussions with potential private sector and state-owned financial institutions for project development and processing.
- Identify and screen projects for developmental aspects and commercial viability.
- Lead and/or contribute to the development of policy and strategies for ADB's developmental goals for the private sector.
- Liaise with governments to advocate and promote PSFI projects.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Required Experience
At least 8 years of work experience preferably in the financial sector. Deal origination experience in debt and equity transactions in Georgia and other countries in the region.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in management or finance or in related fields; preferably with advanced training and/or qualification as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Contract Duration
initially for a period of up to 3 years, or up to the Normal Retirement Date (NRD), whichever comes earlier. ADB may choose to renew the appointment for up to an additional 3 years.
Work Modality
Based at our Resident Mission Office in Jakarta, Indonesia (IRM).
Remuneration
The salary will be based on ADB's standards and comparator markets, taking into account your qualifications and experience.
