Overview
The National MICS Consultant will support the preparation, implementation, and completion of the MICS survey in Uzbekistan, ensuring adherence to MICS protocols and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation, implementation and completion of the MICS survey in Uzbekistan.
- Work closely with and advise the NSC, especially the Survey Coordinator and sampling and data processing experts, during survey planning, questionnaire design, sampling, training, fieldwork, data processing, data analysis, dissemination and archiving.
- Ensure that MICS protocols and recommendations are followed at all times.
- Communicate effectively between the UNICEF CO and NSC.
- Participate in required meetings.
- Coordinate the work of other resource people hired by UNICEF to provide technical assistance.
- Work in close collaboration with the Regional MICS Coordinators at UNICEF Regional Office and the MICS Team at UNICEF Headquarters, as well as expert consultants assigned to support the Uzbekistan MICS.
Required Experience
Proven minimum of 10 years’ experience in the coordination and/or management of quantitative household surveys (prior MICS or Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) experience requested); experience with CAPI data collection; training experience and ability to organize and facilitate training and presentations; experience in data analysis and survey report writing; strong computer skills and expertise in statistical analyses (familiarity with data processing and analysis software, particularly SPSS).
Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Demography, Epidemiology or any other related technical field
