National Project Coordinator
Overview
The National Project Coordinator will coordinate the ILO component of a Joint UN Programme on the Care Economy, focusing on strengthening care policies and governance systems in Bangladesh.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the operational delivery of the project, including workplans, budget, procurement, and contracting.
- Coordinate the overall planning, implementation, and risk management of the ILO component.
- Coordinate the design and execution of demonstration interventions.
- Coordinate context analysis, evidence generation, and policy research on the care economy.
- Provide technical support in the development and implementation of an integrated national care policy and governance framework.
- Design, coordinate, and deliver capacity-development initiatives and policy dialogues.
- Serve as the primary ILO technical focal point within the joint UN programme.
- Facilitate structured engagement and multi-stakeholder consultations.
- Contribute to partnership development and resource mobilization initiatives.
- Lead the development of analytical knowledge products and advocacy materials.
- Lead the results-based monitoring and reporting of the ILO component.
- Conduct regular project monitoring missions and site visits.
Required Experience
At least three years of progressively responsible professional experience at the national level in project or programme management, including work planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder coordination. Experience in the care economy, gender equality, social protection, or labour market policy is required. Experience with UN joint programmes, government institutions, and social partners is highly desirable.
Qualifications
First-level university degree in economics, public policy, social policy, development studies, gender studies, social sciences, labour studies, public administration, law, or another relevant field. An advanced university degree is an advantage.
