Overview
Assist the coordinator in the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project activities related to psychosocial support services for asylum seekers and beneficiaries of temporary protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily monitoring and supervision of services provided by service providers.
- Cooperate with medical and psychosocial teams on day-to-day activities.
- Inform supervisor on challenges requiring medical or psychosocial support.
- Ensure duties comply with IOM's internal rules and regulations and SOPs.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and address protection needs by contacting competent agencies.
- Address needs of vulnerable groups and refer cases for further treatment.
- Follow up on protection cases and ensure quality case management.
- Maintain and update case files and inform beneficiaries of case progress.
- Record and update cases in the project database.
- Map services on-site and off-site and ensure access for migrants and refugees.
- Develop individual action plans for migrants and refugees.
- Support organization and participation in team meetings.
- Escort beneficiaries to public health facilities if requested.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Required Experience
Previous experience in a similar role preferred; Familiarity with direct assistance to migrants and/or refugees an advantage; Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment.
Qualifications
University degree in Social Work from an accredited academic institution with minimum two years of relevant work experience. Master’s degree in above field an advantage. License to practice social work. Membership with the Association of Greek Social Workers would be an advantage. Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
