Management Data Analyst- [Open to Tier 0, 1 and 2 applicants]

Overview

The Management Data Analyst supports organizational effectiveness by contributing to advisory engagements, undertaking research, data collection, and analysis, and developing data analysis tools and applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake research, data collection, and analysis related to organizational performance, effectiveness, and business process reviews.
• Conduct end-to-end data analysis workflows, including data wrangling, exploration, modelling, analysis, communication, and visualization.
• Create and maintain databases, dashboards, and data management workflows.
• Develop methodologies, tools, and software applications for data analysis and organizational performance.
• Participate in client advisory engagements, including research, data collection, analysis, and visualization.
• Support the development of technical proposals, business cases, and implementation plans.
• Prepare for and participate in interviews, focus groups, and workshops.
• Draft written outputs and end-of-engagement reports.
• Maintain data and knowledge platforms, including dashboards.
• Develop and maintain codebase, database, and data management tools and workflows.
• Contribute to the development of templates and standard operating procedures.
• Perform administrative support functions.
• Support internal coordination, communication, and knowledge management efforts.

Required Experience

• A minimum of two (2) years with a Master’s degree or four (4) years with a Bachelor’s degree of progressively relevant work experience in research, data collection, analysis, and supporting business transformation engagements is required.
• Knowledge and experience of data science/analytics methodologies and approaches is required.
• Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, data modelling, statistical analysis and visualization tools required (e.g. SQL, R, Power BI) is required.
• Demonstrated experience in database and cloud computing platforms required (e.g. Azure, Fabric) is desirable.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in programming languages, libraries and frameworks for use in data science/analytics (e.g. Python, D3.js, DAX) is required.
• Knowledge of practical applications of predictive analytics and generative AI desirable.
• Experience in performance improvement, business process reengineering, organizational effectiveness/organization development, process consultation, or management consulting is a distinct advantage.
• Exposure to international development work is an advantage.
• Knowledge of the UN/UNDP system is desirable.

Qualifications

Advanced University Degree (Master’s Degree or equivalent) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Computational Sciences, Business Administration, or related fields, is required, or A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s Degree) in the above-mentioned areas with an additional 2 years of relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of the master’s degree.
