Overview

The Project MEAL Coordinator is responsible for leading and managing all Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) functions for the BRACE Project in Cambodia. The role ensures the project has robust MEAL systems that meet donor requirements, Save the Children standards and programme quality frameworks.


Key Responsibilities
  • Leading and managing all MEAL functions for the BRACE Project.
  • Ensuring the project has robust MEAL systems.
  • Supporting evidence-based decision-making and adaptive programme management.
  • Leading the design and implementation of the project’s MEAL strategy, indicator frameworks, monitoring tools and accountability mechanisms.
  • Ensuring reliable data is collected, analysed and used to improve programme performance and impact.
  • Ensuring project-level monitoring, evaluation and learning contribute to country-level performance tracking, organisational learning and strategic evidence generation.
  • Strengthening partner MEAL capacity.
  • Coordinating evaluations and studies.
  • Facilitating learning processes.
  • Ensuring high-quality donor reporting inputs.
  • Collaborating closely with Monitoring, Accountability & Performance (MAP), Research, Evaluation, Learning & Business Insight (REL&BI), and Knowledge Management functions.
  • Providing technical leadership for MEAL systems within the project.
  • Working outside the normal role profile and varying working hours in the event of a major humanitarian emergency.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in MEAL systems
  • Experience managing monitoring systems for donor-funded projects
  • Experience coordinating MEAL in multi-partner programmes
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills
  • Experience coordinating project evaluations and research studies (Desirable)
  • Experience strengthening partner MEAL capacity (Desirable)
  • Experience working with international NGOs (Desirable)
  • Experience with digital data collection tools and dashboards (Desirable)
Qualifications

Master’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Statistics or related field
