Overview
The MEAL Assistant provides administrative, logistical, and system tracking support to the REALM unit, focusing on monitoring, accountability, and programme performance systems. The role supports the MAP Coordinator in maintaining monitoring and accountability systems and acts as a Country Office accountability focal point for community feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides administrative, logistical and system tracking support to the REALM unit.
- Supports the MAP Coordinator in maintaining monitoring and accountability systems such as Indicator Performance Tracking Tables (IPTT), Quality Benchmark (QB) trackers and the Feedback and Response Mechanism (FRM) log.
- Serves as a Country Office accountability focal point for receiving and recording community feedback and complaints.
- Ensures issues are properly logged, documented and escalated to the MAP Coordinator or REALM Manager when required.
- Supports coordination of monitoring visits, learning events and documentation processes.
- Maintains organised filing systems and trackers that support programme accountability, reporting and audit readiness.
- May provide limited administrative and documentation support to the REL&BI Coordinator for research, learning and knowledge management activities.
Required Experience
- At least 1–2 years of experience in administrative or programme support roles
- Experience maintaining records, documentation systems or databases
- Desirable: Experience supporting monitoring or programme activities in development projects
- Desirable: Familiarity with MEAL or programme management systems
- Desirable: Experience working with NGOs or business sector

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, development studies, administration or related field
