Overview
The Communication, Digital & Content Assistant manages digital communication channels and supports content development to enhance brand visibility, campaign reach, product marketing, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages digital communication channels.
- Supports the development of engaging content.
- Ensures disciplined digital publishing, consistency of tone and messaging, alignment with SCI global brand guidelines, and responsible online community engagement.
- Executes digital communication plans.
- Maintains content calendars.
- Monitors performance metrics.
- Escalates sensitive issues as required.
- Contributes to communication and visibility activities for the Growing Transformative Horticulture (GROWTH) project.
- Ensures compliance with donor visibility requirements and effective communication of project results.
- Expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly in the event of a major humanitarian emergency.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in: Social media management, Digital content writing, Online community engagement.
- Demonstrated experience managing Facebook pages or digital platforms.
- Experience in an NGO, private, or development sector (desirable).
- Basic understanding of digital analytics tools (desirable).
- Experience in email marketing platforms (desirable).
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
