Overview
The Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) Technical Advisor provides technical leadership and expertise to advance gender equality, disability inclusion and broader social inclusion across Save the Children Cambodia’s programming, advocacy, partnerships and internal practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides technical leadership and expertise to advance gender equality, disability inclusion and broader social inclusion across programming, advocacy, partnerships and internal practices.
- Supports the Country Office to deliver high-quality, inclusive and equitable programmes.
- Ensures programmes are grounded in intersectional gender and power analysis.
- Ensures Save the Children’s Gender Equality Policy, Disability Inclusion Policy and Programme Quality Framework are systematically applied across the programme cycle.
- Collaborates with programme sectors, MEAL, advocacy and operations colleagues to strengthen programme quality, evidence generation and influencing efforts.
- Contributes to Save the Children’s ambition to address inequality and discrimination affecting children.
- In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in gender equality, disability inclusion or social inclusion programming.
- Demonstrated experience conducting gender analysis and inclusion assessments.
- Experience integrating GEDSI into programme design, implementation and monitoring.
- Experience delivering capacity building and training for staff and partners.
- Experience working in Cambodia or Southeast Asia (Desirable).
- Experience working with organisations of persons with disabilities or women-led organisations (Desirable).
- Experience working in both development and humanitarian contexts (Desirable).
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in gender studies, social sciences, development studies, disability studies, human rights or related field
