Overview
The Monitoring, Accountability and Performance (MAP) Coordinator leads the implementation and oversight of country-level monitoring, accountability and programme performance systems. The role ensures these systems are operational, compliant with global standards, and generate reliable information for programme management and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads the implementation and oversight of country-level monitoring, accountability and programme performance systems.
- Ensures monitoring systems, programme performance tracking tools and accountability mechanisms are operational and compliant with global standards.
- Generates reliable information for programme management and decision-making.
- Is responsible for IPTT governance, PRIME monitoring systems, Quality Benchmark coordination, portfolio performance tracking and accountability to children and communities systems.
- Directly leads MEAL implementation for assigned projects.
- Ensures project monitoring plans, reporting frameworks and data quality systems are implemented effectively and meet donor and SCI requirements.
- Supervises MEAL Officers and Assistants.
- Contributes to strengthening partner monitoring capacity across programmes.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation systems
- Experience managing programme monitoring frameworks and indicator tracking systems
- Experience implementing accountability mechanisms and feedback systems
- Demonstrated experience supervising MEAL staff
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills
- Experience working with donor-funded development programmes.
- Experience with digital monitoring tools and data systems (Desirable)
- Experience supporting partner monitoring capacity (Desirable)
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Social Sciences, Development Studies or related field
