Overview
To assist in planning, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of pandemic-related activities under the Pandemic Fund, utilizing a One Health approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, implementation, and day-to-day coordination of Pandemic Fund–supported activities.
- Assist in operationalizing One Health activities.
- Coordinate with relevant ministries, departments, and technical partners.
- Monitor implementation progress and flag challenges.
- Facilitate communication and coordination among One Health stakeholders.
- Support organization of meetings, workshops, and trainings.
- Ensure follow-up on actions arising from meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of activities.
- Prepare periodic progress reports.
- Support the preparation of technical and financial documentation.
- Compile data for national and international reporting.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for field activities.
- Assist in documentation of best practices.
- Perform any other related duties.
Required Experience
- At least 3 years of work experience as a Project Officer or in a similar role.
- Experience in working with the Government Sector and or another UN/ International Organizations.
- Familiarity with the UN system, grant funding, policies and monitoring and evaluation.
Qualifications
- Completion of secondary school education - GCE (A/L) in the biological sciences stream.
- Certificate in Project Management/ Business Administration.
- A bachelor’s degree in health sciences, public health, veterinary sciences, environmental sciences or a related discipline.
