Overview
The Supply Chain Assistant will support IOM’s humanitarian activities by assisting in the implementation and monitoring of procurement and logistical needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of procurement and logistical needs.
- Assist Senior Logistics and Procurement Associate regarding procurement requests and requirements.
- Verify Purchase Requisition Forms for completeness.
- Assist in collecting quotations/proposals, preparing Purchase Requisitions in WAVE, and preparing bids analysis.
- Post Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders into WAVE accurately and timely.
- Follow-up on Purchase Orders status and inform customers of delivery changes.
- Verify received goods/works/services against PO/Contracts terms.
- Register newly procured assets in WAVE and assign Asset Master Numbers.
- Prepare and submit Payment Requests to the Finance Unit.
- Follow up with the Finance Unit to ensure timely supplier account settlement.
- Assist with preparations for programs, workshops, and training activities.
- Update and maintain the archiving system.
- Drive IOM vehicle for official business when required.
- Undertake other assigned duties within the incumbent’s capabilities.
Required Experience
- Two years of relevant experience with a degree in business administration, Logistics, supply chain management, or any other related fields.
- Four years of relevant professional experience with a Completed High School diploma.
- Purchasing & sourcing basics.
- Vendor management.
- Contract awareness.
- Inventory coordination.
Qualifications
- Degree in business administration, Logistics, supply chain management, or any other related fields.
- Completed High School diploma from an accredited academic institution.
