Overview
Develops and implements procurement strategies for assigned product categories, ensuring efficient procurement in compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Oversees the operational procure-to-pay process.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops, reviews, and implements procurement strategies for assigned categories.
- Defines and coordinates sourcing strategies.
- Conducts market analysis and defines specifications.
- Oversees international tendering and negotiates global contracts.
- Optimizes the supplier panel and evaluates international suppliers.
- Implements supplier relationship management (SRM) strategies.
- Supervises global procure-to-pay (P2P) processes.
- Ensures audit readiness of procurement files.
- Establishes best practices for ERP data management.
- Performs category analysis with a focus on sustainability and total cost of ownership.
- Leads portfolio standardization efforts.
- Ensures adherence to procurement policies and procedures.
- Provides technical support and manages medical equipment procurement projects.
- Coaches and trains Buyers and Category Buyers.
Required Experience
- 8-10 years’ professional experience, including 5 years in procurement and/or supply chain (category management, SRM, contract management, order management).
- Proficient in the strategic sourcing process and enterprise resource planning systems.
- Experience working on cross-cutting / cross-functional projects.
- Technical background and knowledge of Biomedical equipment is a strong asset.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in international procurement or logistic is mandatory.
- Engineering degree in Biomedical equipment is a strong asset.
