Overview
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will ensure adherence to NRC policies and coordinate M&E activities according to strategy, proposals, budgets, and plans. The role involves supporting program teams in data collection and developing M&E tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide regular and monthly progress reports to M&E Coordinator and M&E Manager
- Coordinate M&E activities according to strategy, proposals, budgets and plans
- Prepare periodic progress reports, reporting tracker, indicators tracking table and other documents
- Support in developing data collection methodology and tools
- Assist in standardizing M&E across areas and projects
- Investigate and facilitate introduction of new technology, methods and approaches
- Coordinate with relevant partners
- Support program teams to develop tools for data collection related to outputs, outcomes, and results
- Develop and maintain databases for tracking data and indicators
- Ensure output and outcome data is collected and documented for timely reporting
- Communicate regularly with Area M&E and project staff
- Assist to provide feedback to project technical and partner staff on methodologies and results
- Ensure project M&E tools and Country Office M&E SOPs are properly used
- Support to develop and implement M&E Matrixes at the area office level
- Provide technical support to all users of GORS and follow up data updating and reporting
- Support Area M&E officers to develop M&E tools and organize monitoring visits
Required Experience
- Experience from working in M&E in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- Good understanding of data and information needs for programme management and decision making
