Overview
The Cash Program Officer will be responsible for the direct implementation of IRC Cash Transfer activities in Borno State, ensuring efficient, transparent, and accountable delivery of cash assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the implementation of cash transfer program interventions.
- Actively contribute to field activities including community engagement, beneficiary targeting, registration, verification, cash disbursement, and monitoring.
- Coordinate beneficiary verification and selection with Community-Based Targeting Committees.
- Coordinate cash disbursement procedures and financial service provider interactions.
- Conduct community sensitization sessions.
- Coordinate activities with local authorities, community leaders, and partners.
- Support data entry, cleaning, and analysis.
- Contribute to MEAL processes, including post-distribution monitoring and feedback mechanisms.
- Contribute to program reporting and evaluation systems.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly activity reports.
- Contribute to project design, planning, and proposal development.
- Support the preparation of donor reports.
- Develop spending and procurement plans and review budgets.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 3 years post NYSC experience in Food Security and Livelihoods programming, with strong competency in implementing Cash Transfer programs.
- At least 2 years of experience in Cash Transfer Programming, including the use of e-vouchers and other digital or physical delivery mechanisms within the humanitarian or development context.
- Demonstrated experience in beneficiary management processes.
- Proven experience in conducting Food Security, Livelihoods and cash transfer assessments.
