Overview
The Officer- MEAL will support the implementation of the MEAL system for a UN-OCHA-funded project to ensure effective monitoring, data management, accountability, and learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of the project MEAL plan.
- Maintain project databases.
- Update IPTT with month frequency.
- Analyse monitoring data.
- Support the preparation of donor reports within the required timelines.
- Work closely with MEAL, programme teams and partners to ensure accurate data collection, reporting, and use of evidence to improve programme quality.
- Support monitoring of project activities.
- Support to execute and orient on accountability mechanisms towards relevant colleagues and partner staff.
- Contribute to documentation of lessons learned, good practices, and case studies to enhance learning and visibility of project achievements.
Required Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in a relevant area of work.
- Experience in humanitarian response programs with non-profits will be an advantage.
- At least two years of experience of working in a database or information management (strong Academic background could be flexible for experience).
Qualifications
• Bachelor (Hons) preferably in Anthropology / Statistics / Urban and Rural Planning / Sociology / Soil Science / Geography / any other Social Sciences or relevant discipline from a University Grants Commission (UGC) approved Public / Private University.
