Overview

Provides technical and operational support for the implementation, monitoring and strengthening of nutrition services supported by UNICEF in Madagascar. Contributes to the delivery and scale-up of key nutrition interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Contributes to the delivery and scale-up of key nutrition interventions, including community-based management of acute malnutrition, improvement of service quality, integration of nutrition within health services, and implementation of maternal nutrition and micronutrient interventions.
• Supports programme planning, implementation, monitoring and partnership engagement to ensure effective and sustainable delivery of nutrition services.

Required Experience

At least 5 years of relevant work experience in Nutrition, Health and Nutrition, Programme Management, public health, maternal and child health, service delivery, health systems strengthening, community-based management of acute malnutrition, maternal nutrition, micronutrient interventions, programme planning, monitoring, partnership engagement and any other related fields.

Qualifications

Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Public Health, Epidemiology, nutrition, nutritional epidemiology, global health, international health, health sciences, health systems, maternal nutrition, child nutrition and any other related fields. A Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in a relevant area combined with 2 additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
