Overview
This internship opportunity focuses on supporting staff learning and development initiatives, as well as talent acquisition activities within the Human Resources Services division.
Key Responsibilities
- Support activities related to staff learning and development initiatives, including the Learning Hub, LMS-related activities, and related resources;
- Assist in maintaining and updating learning and training materials, communications, and online content;
- Support the organization and coordination of virtual and in-person group training activities;
- Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing learning and training-related information and feedback;
- Contribute to the preparation of learning resources, career development materials, presentations, reports, and other staff development content;
- Support talent outreach and employer branding activities, including research, benchmarking, and preparation of related materials and communications;
- Assist with activities related to online career fairs, webinars, and other recruitment outreach initiatives;
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at attracting diverse and qualified candidate pools;
- Participate in meetings, events, career fairs, and webinars, and assist with related logistical support, note-taking, follow-up activities;
- Support HR communications, intranet content, user guides, and HR-related documentation;
- Assist with HR digitalization, automation, AI-related initiatives, and process improvement initiatives and research related to HR policies and practices within the UN common system and other international organizations;
- Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and other HR-related materials;
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience
No prior professional experience is required. Relevant professional experience or academic exposure to Human Resources is an asset; Familiarity and interest in AI-based tools, automation, or technology-enabled processes is an asset; experience with Microsoft 365 tools (e.g. Teams, SharePoint, Outlook) is an asset; Knowledge of social media platforms and basic social media analytics is an asset; Experience with website content management, basic design tools, or audio-visual editing is an asset.
Qualifications
The applicant must have completed at least two years of full-time study at a university or equivalent institution that will lead to the award of a degree in human resources management, business administration, social sciences, communications, marketing, law or related field; Applications may be made up to two years after the completion of a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree; Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
