Overview
The consultant will contribute to enhancing TrainForTrade's implementation of activities and strengthening communication to reach more stakeholders and partners involved in ports and trade statistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with local instructors and focal points to organize agendas and coordinate training activities.
- Assist in the organization and participate as jury member in final dissertations.
- Conduct research and analysis of data on international trade and ports for publications.
- Prepare letters, emails, and invitations to experts and stakeholders.
- Draft final report of activities and produce articles and content for communication.
Required Experience
- At least 20 months of work experience in research activities related to economic and statistics policies, trade related matters and/or project management.
- Experience with economic and policy research, with statistics procedures and liaising with national and international stakeholders within an international organization.
- Experience drafting reports and official communications is desirable.
- Experience with TrainForTrade methodologies will be an advantage.
- Experience with port-related matters will be an advantage.
Qualifications
An advanced university degree, Master, in economics, marketing, public policy or related field is required.
