Overview
Intern to support partnership and engagement efforts towards Brussels-based EU decision makers, working within a small team on partnership and advocacy towards EU institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor developments and provide analyses on ECHO, MENA, INTPA, NEAR, and FPI funding, EU's role in humanitarian crises, and EU humanitarian/resilience policies.
- Support quantitative/qualitative funding and performance analyses, and analyses of policies/programming related to DRC EU partnership engagement.
- Maintain DRC’s ECHO and EC Development grant databases.
- Support internal and external meetings, including logistics, scheduling, note-taking, and briefing materials.
- Gather information and draft internal/external written products.
- Support stakeholder mapping and maintain contact lists.
- Maintain InSite pages and communication tools, including the quarterly DRC Brussels Newsletter.
- Create news briefings synthesizing daily developments.
- Format and proofread documents, EU donor-related tools, and InSite pages.
- Provide other administrative support.
Required Experience
Recent graduates and candidates with limited professional experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
- University degree (bachelor required, master recommended) in law, social sciences, international development, humanitarian aid, or any other relevant degree.
- Proficient in MS Office and Office 365, with a good understanding of the use of Excel to support data collection and perform funding analyses.
