Overview
The internship supports the "UNGSC - Post-DANA DR Capabilities Enhancement" Project, aiming to shift from manual recovery planning to automated, validated resilience. The role will assist in disaster recovery operations, contribute to resilience automation, support resilience dashboards, leverage generative AI, and contribute to documentation and standardization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the review and update of Information System Contingency Plans (ISCPs).
- Help identify gaps between Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and actual technical capabilities.
- Support the coordination of Disaster Recovery Exercises (DRX).
- Support the validation of automated recovery workflows.
- Build interactive PowerBI dashboards.
- Visualize testing coverage metrics.
- Research and support the use of GenAI tools to parse system configurations and generate DR "Runbooks".
- Explore AI-driven predictive analytics for capacity bottlenecks.
- Assist in maintaining the Service Continuity Library.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- OR be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- Field of studies must be closely related to Cybersecurity & Information Security, Computer Science & IT, Data Science & Analytics and/or Engineering & Technology.
