Overview
Manage and coordinate the GCF EW4All Multi-Country Project, ensuring coherent implementation and achievement of project objectives in collaboration with responsible parties, national units, and UNDP Country Offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project strategy and annual work plans.
- Establish and implement a project monitoring and reporting system.
- Develop and monitor project budget.
- Organize Project Board meetings.
- Oversee formulation and execution of implementation plans, procurement, human resources, communication, and risk management plans.
- Ensure day-to-day management of the project, including annual work planning, budgeting, procurement, and reporting.
- Develop terms of reference and work specifications for contractors.
- Supervise and manage project personnel.
- Ensure adherence to Environmental and Social Management Plan, Stakeholder Engagement Plan, and Gender Action Plan.
- Coordinate and facilitate project evaluations and audits.
- Prepare Annual Performance Report to the GCF and other reports.
- Implement project communications activities.
- Maintain results-management systems.
- Ensure provision of high-quality technical advice and building of partnerships.
- Establish and maintain strategic dialogue with stakeholders.
- Advocate UNDP with partners and stakeholders.
- Establish Technical Working Groups.
- Liaise with UNDP COs and in-country partners.
- Organize coordination meetings.
- Ensure systematic capacity building of host country governments.
- Support overall Communications and Knowledge Management of the project.
- Oversee evaluation, capturing, codification, and synthesis of lessons learned.
Required Experience
- Minimum 7 years (with master´s degree) or 9 years (with bachelor´s degree) of professional experience in international development organizations, NGOs, and/or bilateral development cooperation agencies.
- At least 3 years of experience in project management and/or project coordination.
- Proven experience in developing analytical and capacity building content like reports, training materials/ packages in the area of preparedness.
- Experience working on global programs and projects.
- Proven experience in communications and knowledge management in the area of preparedness.
- Experience in disaster preparedness, and disaster risk reduction more broadly.
- Experience with early warning systems.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Climate Change, International Development, Environment or Natural Resource Management, Public Policy and/or Administration is required, or
- A first-level university degree (Bachelor´s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with additional 2 years of qualifying experience.
