Overview
The Safeguards Coordination Associate serves as the focal point for communication, administrative support, and services related to IAEA/European Commission Liaison Committee activities. The role coordinates internal and bilateral processes for subsidiary arrangements, facility attachments, and partnership approach papers.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate IAEA and European Commission reviews and responses concerning safeguards cooperation agreements.
- Organize IAEA/EC meetings, including invitations, travel, documents, logistics, and visitor access.
- Take and prepare minutes of meetings and update action lists.
- Compile, process, and update classified data from Divisional Statements of Import Communication and nuclear material advance import/export notifications.
- Analyse advance notifications and incorporate data into the transit matching database.
- Disseminate classified information according to procedures.
- Draft and prepare official correspondence with States.
- Prepare and oversee the review and approval of State Subsidiary Arrangements and Facility Attachments.
- Maintain divisional radiation protection records.
Required Experience
Minimum of six years of relevant working experience in an administrative support role, including: organizing meetings, coordinating documentation, drafting correspondence and minutes, and working with databases.
Qualifications
Completed secondary education.
