Overview
The Safeguards Information Assistant (State Declarations) collects and processes State declared information to support in-field verification activities and the State evaluation process. The role involves receiving, processing, quality control, review, and dissemination of State declared information.
Key Responsibilities
- Process State declared information (nuclear material accounting data, Additional Protocol declarations, and other relevant declared information) for assigned States, including receiving, uploading, and performing quality control.
- Review and assess State declared information to identify discrepancies or issues and provide input to Safeguards Information Analysts.
- Draft timely correspondence for assigned States with regard to the technical correctness and completeness of their declarations and in order to resolve arising issues.
- Assist States and the Departmental colleagues with reporting and information processing tasks and issues in close collaboration with the Safeguards Information Analysts.
- Assist with the development of training materials under the guidance of the Safeguards Information Analysts.
- Support process methodology and tools improvement in areas related to State Declarations.
Required Experience
Minimum of five years of relevant working experience, some of which in an international environment. Experience in preparing summaries and reports.
Qualifications
Completed secondary education.
