Overview
The AI Hub Campaign & Knowledge Specialist will shape the programme narrative for the AI Hub for Sustainable Development, focusing on AI foundations for development and private sector growth. The role involves co-designing programmes and leading tailored campaigns to mobilize stakeholder action.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation and monitoring of the AI Hub for Sustainable Development Programmes’ knowledge and insights strategy.
- Build processes, methodologies, and campaign strategies in partnership with G7, Africa and relevant authorities in the 14 partner countries in Africa.
- Support Italy, G7 countries, and African government partners in identifying and fostering new partnership and catalyze exponential actions by partners through effective campaigns and advocacy.
- Contribute to UNDP's ability to identify narrative trends, emerging campaign tools and approaches.
- Develop and execute the AI Hub programmes campaigns, setting key clear objectives and expected outcomes.
- Establish monitoring, evaluation and learning approaches to guide strategy implementation.
- Design and pilot new approaches for connecting media, communities, and communications teams at partners’ organizations and countries.
- Work closely with the Director of the AI Hub and Head of Programmes on go to market strategies for all AI Hub programmes and partnerships.
- Manage partnership expectations and visibility of partners.
- Steer research to Identify priority themes and topics for thought leadership.
- Design creative approaches to identifying and retaining the interest of target audiences.
- Participate in global AI forums, conferences, and high-level discussions.
- Manage stakeholder events to spotlight attention to the opportunities and challenges of AI development.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 5 years (with master’s degree) or 7 years (with bachelor’s degree) of experience working in AI, digital transformation, or sustainable development.
- Proven track record of experience leading impactful multi-stakeholder campaigns, managing diverse partner visibility, navigating high-stake environments and driving actions by ecosystem.
- Proven track record of experience identifying partnerships and designing impactful initiatives with the private sector.
- Deep understanding of diverse stakeholder groups and experience in LDCs, Africa, and other underserved regions.
- Experience in project management, with a demonstrated ability to influence global policy and drive organizational change.
Qualifications
An advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Design, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology management, Education, or a relevant technical field is required, or A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas stated above in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
