Overview
Internship opportunity to support the communication activities of the UNIC Mexico, focusing on research, drafting, and production of communications products, particularly audiovisual.
Key Responsibilities
- Support communications activities, assisting with research, drafting, and production of communications products, especially audiovisual.
- Assist in outreach efforts using traditional and new digital communication means.
- Support strategic communication of the UN in Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
- Assist in coordinating communication activities of UN System agencies in Mexico.
- Assist in producing multimedia stories, digital and audiovisual assets for web and social media.
- Draft and edit written, audiovisual, and digital content for web, social media, and print in Spanish and English.
- Assist in daily liaison with civil society, academia, and NGOs in Mexico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic.
- Assist in preparing for event organization.
- Collaborate with Public and Private Sectors on UN issues.
- Cooperate with civil society on information issues, promoting UN education and youth participation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
No working experience is required.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or,
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).

Languages Required
Fluency in oral and written Spanish is required.
Languages Preferred
Fluency in English is desirable.
Contract Duration
6 months
Work Modality
In-Person Full-time, in-person four days, remotely 1 day each week.
Remuneration
The internship is UNPAID. Interns must cover full-time working hours, for 6 months - 35 hours per week, in-person four days a week, remotely 1 day a week. Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
