Overview

Support the implementation of UN Brazil's digital impact strategy and events management, bringing the United Nations closer to the people it serves.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of digital assets for social media accounts, including short videos, carrousels, and cards.
  • Assist in the production of short video content with subtitles in English and Portuguese.
  • Assist in planning interviews for human-based stories and videos.
  • Assist in the development of digital advocacy campaigns and production of digital assets.
  • Assist in research on opportunities to increase digital platform impact.
  • Assist in the translation of speeches, press releases, and articles (English and Portuguese).
  • Assist in UNIC Rio’s 80th Anniversary Campaign planning and implementation.
  • Assist in photo exhibitions, including curating audio-visual content.
  • Assist in organizing regular events, such as press conferences and public outreach activities.
  • Assist in outreach efforts with partners and the UN System in Brazil.
  • Assist in mapping potential partners and sponsors.
  • Assist in updating and expanding mailing lists.
  • Assist in supporting relationships with suppliers.
Required Experience
  • Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme.
  • Have experience in using basic graphic design tools, such as Canva, and in producing content for digital platforms.
Qualifications
  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or, Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (bachelor's level or equivalent).
  • Be computer literate in standard software applications.
  • Have working knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
Other Details
Languages Required
Fluency in oral and written Portuguese and intermediate level of English are required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of other official languages of the United Nations Secretariat is desirable.
Contract Duration
6 Months
Work Modality
part-time, in-person four days per week, remote one day per week
Remuneration
The internship is UNPAID. Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
