Overview
The Assistant Project Officer will support the planning, implementation, and management of assigned project activities within the OSCE Secretariat, focusing on climate change and security risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with research and monitoring relevant thematic and/or geographical areas.
- Collecting, organizing, and summarizing data and information.
- Organizing and implementing project activities such as workshops, missions, conferences, and study visits.
- Liaising with participants and preparing written material.
- Obtaining administrative approvals and following up on pending matters.
- Collecting information and preparing draft inputs for progress and financial reports.
- Monitoring and administering assigned project activities, including tracking workplans, deliverables, budgets, and expenditure.
- Maintaining project records and bringing issues to the supervisor's attention.
- Supporting administrative arrangements for consultants, implementing partners, and vendors.
- Providing administrative and logistical support for events.
- Maintaining project databases, files, and contact lists.
- Using the OSCE enterprise resource planning system for requisitions, recruitment, payments, and travel.
- Liaising with international, regional, and national institutions.
- Carrying out other assigned tasks.
Required Experience
A minimum of two years (one year with a relevant second-level degree) of professional experience in assisting with project planning, implementation and reporting, preferably in the field of climate change, environmental issues or a related field.
Qualifications
First-level university degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, Renewable Energy Innovation, Social Sciences or other relevant field.
