Overview
The Reintegration Assistant will support the implementation and monitoring of activities for a project focused on community-based reintegration assistance and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) services for returnees and community members.
Key Responsibilities
- Support community needs assessments and assist in preparing community action plans.
- Maintain project data and records, including data entry in MiMOSA and other databases.
- Assist in organizing orientation sessions for returnees and community members.
- Assist in organizing and delivering capacity-building trainings for beneficiaries and partners.
- Assist in organizing meetings and workshops, and draft TORs, agendas, and reports.
- Update project records and participate in field visits to track progress.
- Assist in drafting weekly progress updates, quarterly/annual reports; keep track of best practices and lessons learned.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- High school diploma with four years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor’s degree with two years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience supporting activities involving migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
- Prior work experience with government authorities, international humanitarian organizations, United Nations agencies, international organizations and non-governmental organizations in a multi-cultural setting, including experience liaising with relevant stakeholders, is an advantage.
- Experience supporting project implementation to protection-related activities in The Gambia.
- Experience supporting protection monitoring and case management activities.
Qualifications
High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree in political or social sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.
