Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Associate
Overview
The Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Associate will support the implementation of monitoring activities, data collection, and analysis to inform programmatic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the coordination of mission-wide data collection and field monitoring activities.
- Contribute to the implementation of monitoring plans.
- Support systematic tracking and analysis of project progress against indicators and targets.
- Assist in the refinement and standardization of monitoring tools and methodologies.
- Support data collection, collation, validation, storage, and reporting processes.
- Perform timely entry, management, and basic analysis of monitoring data.
- Support the planning and implementation of baseline, post distribution/assistance monitoring surveys, mid-term, and endline studies.
- Provide ongoing technical support, coaching, and on-the-job capacity building to staff and implementing partners.
- Contribute to the documentation of lessons learned, best practices, and knowledge products.
- Support the integration and monitoring of IOM’s Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) commitments.
- Facilitate regular coordination and follow-up meetings with programme units.
Required Experience
University degree in monitoring and evaluation, statistics, anthropology, law, development studies, political or social sciences or a related field from an accredited academic institution and five years of practical experience in the field; or Completed High School degree with seven years of relevant professional experience in the development and implementation of M&E and AAP frameworks. Experience in developing and implementing monitoring plans for post-conflict / recovery programs. Experience supervising, and directing data enumerators in transitional/post-conflict contexts. Previous experience in monitoring in the context of durable solutions to displacement is highly advantageous. Previous working experience in monitoring in Iraq is highly advantageous. Willingness to conduct constant travel within Iraq. Experience in carrying out interviews, focus group discussions, data collection and assessments.
Qualifications
