Overview
Support IOM Iraq’s multi-sector programmes by coordinating programme data collection and reporting across emergency and development portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to establishing and monitoring a system to collect, consolidate, and clean programme data.
- Work closely with Programme Managers and M&E/IMS focal points to facilitate timely and accurate data submission.
- Establish routines for data validation and apply data protection standards.
- Support administering programme data and information management systems and databases.
- Coordinate with IMS staff to maintain programme data platforms and troubleshoot issues.
- Track the performance of project and programme indicators and suggest corrective actions.
- Coordinate the preparation of mission-wide reports and data inputs for institutional requirements.
- Compile, analyze, and present all required programmatic data by deadlines.
- Contribute to the establishment of IOM Iraq project target datasets to produce summary people reach, trends and infographics.
- Work with IMS Staff to develop dashboards or other visualization products.
- Provide technical guidance to project staff on data collection methodologies, use of data tools, and reporting standards.
- Conduct trainings for field teams on data entry, use of mobile data collection (Kobo/IMS), and data quality control.
- Promote standardized data collection tools and share best practices.
- Comply with IOM data protection policies in managing project targets individual identifiable data and confidential information.
- Maintain confidentiality and proper data access controls.
- Implement regular data backup and archiving procedures.
- Liaise with the Monitoring & Evaluation and IMS colleagues to contribute to assessments and evaluations.
- Support any information management initiatives or roll-out of new corporate tools.
- Keep abreast of developments in IOM’s Evaluation and Monitoring and Results-based Management (RBM) functions.
- Support coordination of collecting data for the mission’s key program indicators.
- Ensure data verification and compilation.
- Coordinate circulation to partners and documentation.
- Regularly update and share the programme database and dashboard with programme team.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Required Experience
- At least five years of relevant professional experience if holding a bachelor’s degree in programme data management, analysis and reporting in a humanitarian or development context.
- Proven experience coordinating data collection from multiple projects or field locations, ensuring data integrity and timeliness.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Experience with data analysis or visualization software (e.g. SQL databases, Power BI) and mobile data collection tools (Kobo) is required.
- Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation frameworks and results-based reporting.
- Prior work experience with IOM or UN agencies, or in the Iraqi context, is an advantage.
- Proven experience in data collection tool preparation, data collection, analysis and reporting in a humanitarian or development context is an advantage.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, statistics, information management, data science, social sciences or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or University degree in the above fields with two years of relevant professional experience in the development and implementation of M&E and AAP frameworks.
