Overview

Provide administrative and project support to the Migrants Protection and Assistance Unit, focusing on data and research activities for a project on strengthening survivor-centered protection and prevention of trafficking in persons.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities, including data and research.
  • Retrieve, compile, summarise, analyse, and present information/data.
  • Monitor budget by verifying fund availability, obtaining approvals, and updating information.
  • Act as focal point for administrative coordination, liaising with organisational units and external parties.
  • Draft status reports, identify shortfalls, and escalate issues.
  • Draft correspondence, prepare and update reports, briefing notes, graphics, and presentations.
  • Respond to information requests, maintain files, and organise meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Participate in meetings to coordinate implementation activities with stakeholders.
  • Assist in monitoring Implementing Partners (IP) and report non-compliances.
  • Provide guidance/training to new/junior staff.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with three years of relevant professional experience; or High School diploma with five years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organisations.
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organisations, non-government or government institutions/organisation in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
  • Experience in data collection, validation, compilation, and maintenance of project information.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Science, International Relations, Development Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or High School diploma.

Fluency in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish) is required. Fluency in Russian and Uzbek is required (oral and written).
