Overview

The Associate Administrative Officer role supports the unit's human resources and administrative management, including staff management, budget monitoring, and procurement activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates human resources and administrative management actions.
  • Manages office operational budget and monitors expenditure.
  • Handles cash payments and prepares financial reports.
  • Manages procurement activities and maintains inventory records.
  • Compiles and analyzes statistical data and prepares operational reports.
  • Manages and oversees a team of administrative and general services assistants.
  • Establishes guarding schedules and oversees their implementation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience

At least three years of experience in administrative work, human resources and / or office management is required.

Qualifications

A first university degree from an accredited educational institution in business administration, finance, procurement or related field.

Contract Duration
Fixed Term Appointment for 1 year; including 1 year probation period, with the possibility of further extension, subject to the availability of funds, satisfactory performance, and continuing need.

Remuneration
Monthly basic salary USD 1,410.70 payable in JD at UN monthly exchange rate. The Jerusalem Allowance will be paid subject to eligibility criteria. Other benefits include monthly Provident Fund contribution (15.4% of basic salary paid by the Agency), compulsory medical insurance, 30 days of annual leave, and dependency allowance (if applicable). Additional benefits: 2 days of sick leave for each completed month of service. 14 weeks of Maternity Leave. 2 weeks paternity leave.
