UNEP Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) Regional Coordination Internship
Overview
Internship supporting the Regional Coordination Team in Latin America and the Caribbean within the UNEP FI Secretariat Team. The role involves engaging with members and stakeholders, organizing meetings, and assisting with communications and project implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Regional Coordination Team in engaging with members and stakeholders across the LAC region, promoting knowledge exchange, sharing best practices, and aiding institutions in fulfilling sustainability commitments.
- Help organize and coordinate meetings, prepare minutes, manage follow-ups, and develop presentation materials.
- Assist in designing, promoting, and executing communications around events, webinars, and trainings for the region.
- Contribute to implementation of regional projects, helping with rollout planning, coordination, and execution of deliverables.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
Qualifications
Applicants must at the time of application meet one of the following requirements: a. Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); b. Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent); c. Have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one-year period of graduation. Final year undergraduate or master’s degree student in economics, political sciences, sustainability and/or environmental studies, development studies, business administration, finance, some experience in communications will be an asset.
