Overview

The consultant will provide technical expertise and input for the preparation, coordination, and execution of activities associated with the International Conference on Advancement in Radioactive Waste Management: Innovation for a Sustainable Future.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and finalize the comprehensive conference programme.
  • Manage registration and submission of abstracts and papers.
  • Review submitted abstracts and assigned to appropriate tracks.
  • Facilitate the assessment and selection for either oral or poster presentations.
  • Facilitate authors in formatting, conduct editing and publish the papers.
  • Assist in the selection process of grant recipients.
  • Provide technical input to the development of conference outcomes, recommendations, and technical outputs.
  • Liaise with authors for keeping updated the reception of oral presentations & posters.
  • Prepare summaries and reports in a timely manner.
  • Develop initial draft of the IAEA Conference Proceedings.
  • Provide statistical analysis for reporting purpose.
  • Provide high level summary and key highlights of the Conference.
Required Experience

Minimum of two years work experience in event management, conference planning and preparation.

Qualifications

University degree (bachelor) in engineering, natural or environmental sciences, information or data sciences, or another technical, scientific, analytical or interdisciplinary field relevant to the assignment.

Languages Required
Excellent oral and written command of English.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.

Remuneration
Daily fee of up to a maximum of € 150, based on qualifications and experience. In case duty travel is required within the assignment, a daily subsistence allowance (DSA) and travel costs are provided.
