Overview
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is seeking a Senior Consultant to accelerate its individual giving growth portfolio by providing expert-level strategic advisory services, overseeing the operational rollout of the Individual Giving Strategy 2026–2029, and enhancing technical capacities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic counsel to leadership and the Individual Giving team, benchmarking operations against leading practices.
- Support the technical preparation, alignment, and operation of IGP Governance Mechanisms.
- Advise senior leadership on risk mitigation, investment fund allocation, and emerging trends.
- Ensure timely implementation of recommendations from the UNFPA IGP 2022-2025 External Assessment.
- Lead the operationalization and refinement of the Individual Giving Strategy 2026-2029.
- Enhance monthly giving portfolios through behavioral science and data-driven engagement.
- Design audience data segmentation workflows for recurring and major gift pipelines.
- Develop sophisticated Return on Investment (ROI) models and multi-year lifetime value (LTV) projections.
- Establish standardized performance metrics, automated tracking reporting tools, and core Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Support technical oversight and quality assurance for partnerships with external agencies.
- Support the strategic partnership and implementation of the workplan with USA for UNFPA.
- Oversee global expansion frameworks by establishing market entry parameters and localization pathways.
- Design and support the implementation of capacity building models, training modules, and technical advisory networks.
Required Experience
A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible professional experience in individual giving management, macro-level digital fundraising, or multi-channel direct response marketing within an international scope. Demonstrated success in designing and executing multi-million dollar digital individual fundraising strategies, preferably within the UN system or prominent international non-governmental organizations (INGOs). Expert-level technical mastery over Return on Investment (ROI) modeling, donor lifetime value (LTV) architecture, complex data structures, predictive analytics, and premium CRM integration.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business Administration, International Relations, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a closely related field. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
