Overview

The role of Territorial Technical Link in Chiquimula is to manage, coordinate, articulate, and facilitate the implementation, follow-up, and monitoring of project activities at the local level, contributing to inclusive water resource governance and peacebuilding.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent UNDP in the territory and participate in planning and development of meetings, workshops, and events related to water resource governance, territorial dialogue, and peacebuilding.
• Establish and strengthen strategic alliances with prioritized municipalities, public institutions, Plan Trifinio, civil society, private sector, and academia.
• Facilitate coordination among project actors (UNDP, FAO, MARN, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Plan Trifinio, and community actors).
• Accompany, facilitate, and co-facilitate participatory processes for territorial analysis, training, capacity building, and multi-actor dialogue.
• Provide technical, substantive, administrative, and logistical support to project activities in the territory.
• Support technical follow-up of project implementation in the territory.
• Identify, document, and systematize lessons learned and best practices.
• Prepare periodic reports on progress, achievements, and challenges in territorial implementation.
• Perform other activities required by supervision for project execution.

Required Experience

• 7 years of general experience, including experience in community outreach, promoting human rights and gender approaches in development programs and projects, and knowledge of the context at departmental, municipal, and community levels in Chiquimula and the Trifinio area.
• Solid computer skills, including advanced use of Microsoft Office applications and Web Systems; familiarity with database management and office technology equipment.

Qualifications

Technical/vocational diploma in Profesorado en Educación Media, Social Work, Social or Human Sciences, or related fields.
