Supporting Secondary Data Review for Evidence-Based Decision-Making
Overview
Support UNDP Ukraine's program management activities by conducting a rolling desk review of published secondary material, mapping it against a defined Analytical Framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor online news outlets, institutional publications, assessments and research outputs, screening newly published material against relevance criteria.
- Record sources in a shared tracker with complete metadata.
- Tag logged materials according to the provided Analytical Framework.
- Verify accuracy and consistency of information, flagging outdated or conflicting data.
- Capture key messages in English using automated translation tools for a first pass.
- Edit and format Secondary Data Review outputs for clarity and consistency.
- Provide reviewed and formatted content for internal knowledge products.
Required Experience
At least 1 year of experience in an analytical function, performing reviews, drafting reports, and briefs. Strong analytical and writing skills as well as the ability to provide and present data in a concise manner, are required. Deep understanding of the Ukrainian context, awareness of key political and state authorities, and main processes related to recovery and development in Ukraine. Solid overall computer literacy.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or current enrolment in the final year of a Bachelor's programme. Relevant fields include, but are not limited to: economics, law, public policy and public administration, international relations, political science, sociology and anthropology, history, journalism and media studies, philology, linguistics and translation studies, library and information science, geography and urban planning, environmental studies, public health, education, and data or information science.
