Programme Planning and Monitoring Officer
Overview
The Programme Planning and Monitoring Officer will support the Planning, Monitoring, Reporting and Evaluation function within the Programme and Programme Effectiveness, strengthening capacity in programme planning, results-based monitoring, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and administrative support for the development, revision and monitoring of annual and rolling workplans.
- Support the planning, organization, documentation and follow-up of programme reviews.
- Support preparation and quality assurance of mandatory corporate reports.
- Support implementation of monitoring frameworks.
- Facilitate systematic collection, validation, analysis and presentation of programme performance information.
- Contribute to standardized programme monitoring tools, programme visits, partner reviews and follow-up processes.
- Assist in maintaining monitoring databases, trackers, dashboards and information management systems.
- Maintain the donor reporting schedule; support drafting, review and quality assurance of donor reports and proposals.
- Support day-to-day management of Enterprise Content Management repositories.
- Participate in relevant inter-agency monitoring and evaluation processes.
- Undertake related planning, monitoring, reporting, evaluation and knowledge-management tasks as assigned.
Required Experience
3 years of experience in programme planning, monitoring and evaluation, results-based management, reporting and/or knowledge management in the public sector/government, non-governmental or non-profit sector, private sector, or international development and multilateral organizations; Developing or maintaining results frameworks, indicators, workplans, monitoring tools, databases, dashboards or performance trackers; Collecting, validating, analysing and presenting quantitative and qualitative programme data; Drafting and quality-assuring programme, corporate and/or donor reports and proposals; Facilitating review processes, learning events, capacity-building sessions or multi-stakeholder coordination; Experience in the United Nations or another international development organization, and familiarity with UNICEF or UN planning, monitoring and reporting processes, are desirable.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Social sciences, public policy, development studies, statistics, economics, public administration, monitoring and evaluation, research methods, or another relevant field with a research component. Postgraduate studies or specialized training in monitoring and evaluation are desirable.
