Overview
The Project Communication Assistant will contribute to the overall communications for two UNESCO projects, focusing on promoting effective communication with external and internal audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the execution of communication strategies for two Projects and their activities.
- Design, plan and review Terms of Reference for Projects promotion and visibility.
- Identify relevant media partners and prepare a list of media for coverage.
- Oversee publishing of six-monthly newsletters.
- Maintain project websites updated by drafting and uploading content.
- Propose a social media strategy and publish posts/stories.
- Develop, shoot and edit short videos about project-related topics.
- Accompany project partners in the field to obtain new footage and photos.
- Oversee graphic designs for necessary promotional materials.
- Coordinate knowledge management of the projects, ensuring preparation of publications and knowledge products.
Required Experience
At least two years of relevant professional experience in the field of communication and information, public advocacy, marketing, PR, website development, social media or other relevant fields.
Qualifications
Completed higher education degree in mass communication, media studies, journalism, or in studies with a specialization in information and communication technology and knowledge society issues.
