Overview

The Senior Programme Support Associate will support communication with donors and UN agencies, assist with strategic planning and coordination, and provide programme support for project development, endorsement, and reporting.


Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to drafting project proposals and concept notes.
  • Support the endorsement process for concept notes and project proposals.
  • Support project activation and grants management processes.
  • Support the preparation and submission of project reports.
  • Draft periodic reports and compile inputs for UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework annual reports.
  • Provide inputs and administrative support for the IOM Country Strategy.
  • Produce visibility and presentation materials for resource mobilization.
  • Conduct research on project opportunities, development gaps, and donor priorities.
  • Support the work of the United Nations Migration Network in Uzbekistan.
  • Support liaison with the Government of Uzbekistan and other stakeholders regarding Global Compact for Migration initiatives.
  • Support knowledge management and capacity development of mission staff in online filing systems, databases, and PRIMA.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with four years of relevant professional experience; or High School diploma with six years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups;
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian or development organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage;
  • Experience supporting the development of project proposals, concept notes and donor reports for humanitarian or development programmes.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or High School diploma.
