Overview
Experienced Senior Data Engineer sought for a maternity cover position to build and optimize data infrastructure, design and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes, and translate business needs into data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure data is accessible and optimized for use.
- Collaborate with program managers and field staff to understand data needs.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on data processing and infrastructure.
- Implement data governance best practices.
- Build data pipelines in Fabric to integrate internal and external data.
- Contribute to the design and improvement of the Fabric environment.
- Develop infrastructure, governance, and standards for data discoverability.
- Build and evaluate systems and data pipelines on Microsoft infrastructure outside Fabric.
- Architect data infrastructure for performance and scalability.
- Implement data validation checks, monitoring, and error-handling processes.
Required Experience
Proven experience with IT projects. 5+ years of experience shipping and maintaining code in production. Experience working with Microsoft Fabric or other Microsoft reporting tools. Experience or deep understanding of data architecture and data modelling. Familiarity in working with enterprise information systems in general, and especially ERP and CRM, are desirable.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related subjects, or demonstrable expertise in the field.
