INCLUSION COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
Overview
The Inclusion Communications Officer will promote the inclusion of communities and persons with disabilities by implementing communication strategies and developing relevant content.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse data to identify trends and opportunities for inclusion communication.
- Collect, organise, and design content for inclusion-related communication channels, including posters and guides.
- Update the inclusion portal and distribute newsletters.
- Collaborate on strategies for promoting inclusion.
- Define and monitor communication KPIs for inclusion.
- Produce quarterly reports on website and communication material performance.
- Contribute to the definition and development of community inclusion policies.
- Ensure communities are introduced and promoted within MSF WaCA/Akwaba.
- Liaise with operational projects regarding inclusion.
- Design and disseminate content for internal platforms on photography and video ethics.
- Identify opportunities for communication on safeguarding and DEI policies.
- Monitor trends and practices related to safeguarding and DEI.
- Support internal campaigns on safeguarding and DEI commitments.
- Collaborate with the safeguarding team to create educational materials.
- Provide general support for digital communications.
- Support the dissemination of internal messages.
Required Experience
At least three years of professional experience in communications or public relations. Previous professional experience in community management, implementing digital communication strategies, and producing multimedia content, particularly on social issues. Knowledge of website design, updating websites and publishing content in an inclusive manner, and social media communication. Experience in communication ethics and DEI. Experience in writing articles. Experience of working with international NGOs.
Qualifications
A degree in communication, social sciences, political science or a related field.
