DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS ADVISOR (BASED IN ANY OCBA HUB)

Overview

The purpose of the role is to advise and support the implementation of digital communication strategies tailored to MSF-OCBA field operations to enhance outreach, engagement, crisis response, monitoring and digital capacity across missions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Define and support digital communication strategies for operational contexts.
  • Advise and guide country communication teams on production, formats and adaptation of messages.
  • Assess and monitor digital environments, emerging trends, and audience behaviors.
  • Provides guidance to dissemination approaches.
  • Lead and coordinate digital monitoring and digital crisis communication responses.
  • Develop and deliver training, coaching, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Promote and ensure application of organizational digital communication standards, guidelines, and social media protocols.
  • Represent and collaborate with internal and international digital communication networks, working groups, and stakeholders.
Required Experience

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in digital communications, social media strategy and community management. At least 1 year of professional experience in the humanitarian sector. MSF Experience will be consider an asset.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Communications, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Advanced/proficient command of English (written and spoken) is required.
Languages Preferred
French, Spanish and/or Arabic will be considered assets.

Permanent contract.

Remuneration
For level HQ-3B positions and if the role is based in one of our offices in Spain, the salary will be at €41.137,24. If the role is finally located at one of the OCBA regional hubs, compensation will be subject to the local pay scale applicable to that hub.
