Overview
UNICEF Zimbabwe is engaging a consultant to carry out the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and Associated management Plans for the "Mitigation through Sustainable Energy and Waste Management in Zimbabwe" project.
Required Experience
At least 7 years of experience in complex ESIAs and SEP (EIA for similar projects will be an advantage), at least 10 years of professional experience in environmental and/or social assessment of projects, with proven records of managerial experience in projects of a similar nature and magnitude; ability to work with government officials, technical specialists, familiarity with environmental and social assessments for equivalent size projects, and a proven track record in managing and coordinating a diverse group of social assessments for equivalent size projects, and a proven track record in managing and coordinating a diverse group of professionals. At least 7 years’ experiencing undertaking ESIA studies in the water and sanitation sector for donor funded projects.
Qualifications
Msc in Environmental Studies/Science, Social Development and Safeguards Specialist. Consultant should hold at least MSc in Environmental Science, Engineering or Natural Resources Management.
