Overview
The Upstream and Advisory Manager, FIG will lead IFC’s efforts to enable investment opportunities, enhance investment outcomes, and improve investment conditions within the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) department for the East Asia and the Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Upstream and Advisory unit, ensuring the team is high-performing and committed to IFC’s strategic goals.
- Mentor and develop staff, promoting opportunities for rotation and continued learning.
- Formulate the unit’s strategy for Industry’s sectors across the region.
- Enable investment opportunities by incubating projects and preparing clients for IFC investment.
- Enhance investment outcomes by increasing development impact and improving portfolio client performance.
- Improve investment conditions by leading efforts to drive sector-wide change and open new markets.
- Engage with and establish partnerships with decision makers across the World Bank Group and externally.
- Disseminate and absorb knowledge and experience across the regional industry department and Knowledge Bank teams.
Required Experience
A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
Master's degree or equivalent professional qualification in Business, Finance, Economics, International Relations, or related discipline.
