Overview
The Grants and Partnerships Lead will provide strategic leadership to IRC Pakistan's business development, grants management, and partnership portfolios, overseeing program design, donor relations, compliance, and sub-award management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and revision of the IRC Pakistan Resource Mobilization and Partnerships Strategy.
- Ensure proposal processes are well managed, funding diversification goals are met, and funding efforts align with country program strategic priorities.
- Lead post-award processes including contract reviews, amendments, and donor negotiations.
- Lead and ensure timely and high-quality narrative and financial reporting.
- Oversee donor compliance by maintaining updated checklists and disseminating guidance.
- Lead the operationalization of the IRC Pakistan Partnership Strategy and ensure PEERS is consistently applied.
- Coordinate partner selection processes, including due diligence and vetting.
- Facilitate and coordinate with IRC program teams to support and monitor partners’ project implementation.
- Lead the design and implementation of tailored capacity-strengthening initiatives for local partners.
- Represent IRC in donor meetings, proposal development discussions, and coordination platforms.
- Manage and mentor the Grants and Partnerships team.
Required Experience
Minimum of eight (8) years’ progressive experience in business development, awards management or partnerships, including at least three (3) years managing a team. Proven experience in leading business development units in an international NGO. Strong understanding of the Pakistan operating context and the current regulatory and policy regime for NGOs and INGOs. Experience working in teams designing, implementing and monitoring complex donor-funded programs. Experience of working with USAID, FCDO, ECHO, UN, DFAT, EU, BHA and other institutional donors on compliance matters. Deep understanding of contracts and agreements, contract governance, contractual language and the contract lifecycle. Excellent understanding of donors, stakeholders, and fund managers.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Development Studies, International Relations, Economics, Finance or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a postgraduate degree.
