Passive Cooling Consultant
Overview
Support the Mitigation Branch and UNEP India Office in accelerating passive cooling in India by assisting in the design and operationalization of Passive Cooling Strategy Guidelines and recommending updates to building byelaws.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and operationalisation of Passive Cooling Strategy Guidelines for Maharashtra and Odisha.
- Recommend updates to Maharashtra state building byelaws.
- Support capacity building for cool roofs.
- Provide technical expertise and organizational support for development of technical guidelines on passive cooling.
- Update building regulations in states to integrate passive cooling.
- Build capacities of state government departments in application of heat adaptation solutions.
Required Experience
A minimum of five years of experience in a relevant field of work, preferably with focus on conducting market research, stakeholder mapping and engagement or strategic communication activities. Expertise on India and experience engaging government, industry, finance and academia in India. Advanced experience in communication and stakeholder engagement and management. Experience on district cooling market development in India and engaging multiple stakeholders in project development and partnership building is essential.
